...le cose esterne non influiscono sulle sofferenze dello spirito e non procurano molto sollievo. Nel confessionale attinsi forza e consolazione venendo a sapere che ormai non avrei atteso a lungo per intraprendere l'azione. Giovedì, quando andai nella cella, vidi sopra di me un'Ostia sacra in una grande luce. All'improvviso udii una voce, che mi sembrava uscisse da sopra l'Ostia: “ In Essa sta la tua forza: Essa ti difenderà “. Dopo queste parole la visione scomparve, ma una forza misteriosa entrò nella mia anima ed una strana luce mi fece conoscere in che consiste il nostro amore verso Dio, e cioè nel fare la Sua volontà.
